Join our two day short course to learn the basics of using CLO3D and creating digital outfits. In this introductory CLO3D workshop you will learn the basics of how to navigate around this 3D Fashion Design programme using the relevant virtual sewing and pattern making construction tools to develop a garment. The workshop will cover the basic workflow of designing on an avatar (mannequin) in a 3D workspace, developing a simple pattern using both the 2D and 3D windows, and adjusting the garment in real-time. Virtually sewing up and conducting a fit assessment of the garment, you will learn how to manipulate and amend your digital pattern for a better fit and style, just like you would with a physical first sample. We will then look at fabrics and trims offered in the CLO3D library, basic print development and colourway options for your garment. The last step we will cover is the final rendering and image output for presentations of garments with and without avatars, and various techniques to capture different moods, using lighting and other post editing options offered in CLO3D.
